Dear Writer-Friends,

I've been self-publishing since 2011, and I've shared the knowledge I've gained in two books: the Indie Author Survival Guide, Second Edition, and For Love or Money. I'm not an indie rockstar or a breakout success: I'm one of thousands of solidly midlist indie authors making a living with their works. These books are my way of helping my fellow authors discover the freedom of indie publishing. Write on, writer-friends!

Armchair BEA

I'm not going to BEA (BookExpo America) this week,
but I almost feel like I'm there!

Two Reasons:
1) Open Minds (along with a host of other Indelible's books) will be at BEA! If you're there, we're on a shelf in the New Title Showcase, Booth CPQUAD1:

If you go, snap a picture of my book on the shelf! I will love you forever. :)

2) I'm a sponsor of Armchair BEA, the book blogger event for everyone who can't make it to BEA, but wishes to be there in spirit! As a sponsor, I'm giving away 5 ecopies of Open Minds during the big Armchair BEA giveaway event on Tuesday. There are TONS of other giveaways, big publishers, small publishers, indie authors, ebooks and paper, oh my! Check here for a list of all the giveaways.

Agenda 2012
Monday, June 4th: Introductions First!
Tuesday, June 5th: Giveaways Everywhere!
Wednesday, June 6th: Networking ... In Real Life?!
Thursday, June 7th: Beyond the Blog
Friday, June 8th: The Future of Book Blogging

Special hugs go to the Armchair BEA Blog Team, including blogger-friend Danielle Smith, who invited me to participate, and who all made it indie-friendly by including ebooks in their giveaways. You guys rock!!

  3. How exciting!!! Susan! That is too cool that OPEN MINDS will be at BEA. And I love the concept of "Armchair BEA." That's very funny and great--you guys are the best. I can't wait to see that picture--unless the photographer gets there after they've all been snatched up! :o) <3

    1. Ha! It's just for display, so unless someone steals it... it should still be there! I have a couple friends who have said they'll take a peek and maybe get a picture for me. Hope so!! #coolness

    1. You know lots of people, period, Mr. Matt. :) But if you can whisper in someone's ear and have them send me a picture, that would rock. :)
