Dear Writer-Friends,

I've been self-publishing since 2011, and I've shared the knowledge I've gained in two books: the Indie Author Survival Guide, Second Edition, and For Love or Money. I'm not an indie rockstar or a breakout success: I'm one of thousands of solidly midlist indie authors making a living with their works. These books are my way of helping my fellow authors discover the freedom of indie publishing. Write on, writer-friends!

Happy Birthday Lenny!

If you haven't met Lenny Lee, you missed your chance to know the coolest kid-writer on the blogosphere. I say "missed" because Lenny is no longer a KID he's a TEENAGER!

Happy 13th Birthday, Lenny!

In honor of this special young man's birthday, a bunch of bloggers are getting together and posting awesome stuff on their blogs for him. But behind the scenes, these same awesome people pooled their money to get Lenny a Kindle! Now Lenny can easily get books from his favorite author friends, hopefully spend less for books overall (ebooks are generally cheaper, although not always), and have fun with the new latest tech in books.

I was the one organizing this venture, but once again the blogosphere blew me away with their generosity. It literally came together overnight, just in time to order a new Kindle for Lenny for his birthday.

Enjoy, Lenny! There are a lot of people out there who love you!

  8. Greetings Susan,

Oh yes, Lenny is the coolest and most inspirational young human blogger I have the pleasure of knowing. He sets a pawsitive, sorry, positive example to all who interact with him.

And what you have done, what so many have done, is true demonstration of the sharing, caring blogging community.

And many happy wishes to Lenny on his birthday! :)

Pawsitive wishes, Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet star, now upgraded to superstar status! :)
