Dear Writer-Friends,

I've been self-publishing since 2011, and I've shared the knowledge I've gained in two books: the Indie Author Survival Guide, Second Edition, and For Love or Money. I'm not an indie rockstar or a breakout success: I'm one of thousands of solidly midlist indie authors making a living with their works. These books are my way of helping my fellow authors discover the freedom of indie publishing. Write on, writer-friends!

Third Daughter - Steampunk Fantasy Romance!

No, it's not here yet. But check this out!

How freaking cool is that??

Go on, create your own cool, pulp cover.
You know you want to.

I'm still working on the story, but I'm excited to have an amazing artist signed up to do the REAL cover for Third Daughter. Here's a sample of his work:
A-MAZ-ING, yes?
Michael Komarck, Art for Magic: The Gathering

I can't wait to see what he does with the cover for Third Daughter! As for the ACTUAL Third Daughter story, it is coming along nicely, but still not expected for publication until summer. Meanwhile, follow me on Pinterest to see the cool images I'm collecting for visual inspiration.

  4. Wonderful pics for inspiration. And if the artist can come up with something as powerful as what he designed in the sample work shared here, then count me on pins and needles to see the results!!

  5. Wow, your pinterest has me fascinated. I'm not usually a fan of anything where "romance" is a big factor, but Indian flavored steampunk? I'm going to have to give that a try. :)
