Dear Writer-Friends,

I've been self-publishing since 2011, and I've shared the knowledge I've gained in two books: the Indie Author Survival Guide, Second Edition, and For Love or Money. I'm not an indie rockstar or a breakout success: I'm one of thousands of solidly midlist indie authors making a living with their works. These books are my way of helping my fellow authors discover the freedom of indie publishing. Write on, writer-friends!

New Release: For Love or Money... and PODCASTS!

Fiction is my business, but my indie-author books... strangely enough, those are for love! The indie author community has been such a tremendous support to me that I want to give back by sharing what I know. The first book, The Indie Author Survival Guide, covers everything you need to get started. The second book, For Love or Money, is a straight-shooting guide to help you build a career as a writer. My hope is that both with help my writer friends make their dreams come true!

If the books help you, please review and spread the word - as I said, fiction is my business. These non-fiction books have to get by on word-of-mouth alone. So give your fellow authors a helping hand by passing these resources on to them.

Hank Garner's Podcast - In this interview, I chat mostly about my books and my career (this one is a bit older, dated last November) (audio).

Not a podcast, but... I guest-posted on David Gaughran's blog: Staying Sane in a Crazy (Self-Publishing) World

  1. Both of your books have been very helpful to me. I do have one question about PenName's books. Did she use a soft launch or a hard launch?
